What is light-front quantization (LFQ)?

Description

Because of potential light-front singularities, LFQ is not well defined until all regulators are properly specified such that essential symmetries are kept after renormalization. In this talk, I explore LFQ as an effective quantum field theory resulting from an infinite momentum frame limit of instant theory in 3+1 QCD. In particular, I show how LFQ wave functions can be calculated through matching and running in effective field theories.
