In confining theories with a first order phase transition, one can have coexisting domains of a confined and deconfined phase separated by domain walls. The holographic computations leading to a description of such configurations are, however, exceedingly complicated and nontrivial, yet the obtained profiles are surprisingly simple. In this talk I will report on our work on extending hydrodynamics by a new degree of freedom which allows for a simple description of both phases and the domain wall within the same framework.
