Description

Quantum technology offers great advantages in many applications by exploiting quantum resources. To obtain advantages over classical information processing, it is necessary to use quantum properties of matters. In quantum optics, many researches have devoted to understanding quantumness of light, called nonclassicality. The phase-space description of light is an important tool for understanding the properties of quantum states. In this talk, I will introduce a series of nonclassical states and their appearance in the phase space. I also present how nonclassicality plays a role in quantum information processing. Further, I will present recent results on how to detect of quantify nonclassicality in practical situation.
