Description

In spite of the important progress of Euclidean lattice gauge theory, a basic understanding of the mechanism of color confinement and its relation to chiral symmetry breaking in QCD has remained an unsolved problem. After briefly presenting the paradigmatic 't Hooft large NC QCD (1 + 1) model  in the light front, I will discuss in this seminar how both aspects, chiral symmetry and longitudinal color confinement, can be understood within the framework of holographic light-front QCD as different manifestations of the same underlying longitudinal dynamics, while maintaining the recent developments based on superconformal quantum mechanics in light-front quantization and its holographic embedding on a higher dimensional gravity theory. This talk is based on 2103.10950 [hep-ph].
