Description

As the High-Luminosity LHC is expected to have approximately 3ab^{-1} of data, interest in rare processes such as Vector Boston Fusion is increasing. In this paper, W′ in VBF process which decay to electron and electron neutrino is searched. Even though VBF W′ process has low cross section that is 100 times smaller than W′, VBF process has special topological features of two jets. And also decaying mode of W′ to electron and electron neutrino has characteristic topology of decay products. Using these features, background event could be reduced efficiently compare to signal event. W+2 jets event is considered as background which is most important. Signal and background data is generated using Madgraph5, Pythia8 and Delphes and analysed with kinematic topology of signal. Finally, using optimized MT cut, expected significance of signal in HL-LHC environment is derived.
