In recent years, advances in image recognition technology, such as convolutional neural networks has led to a paradigm-shift in machine learning. These so-called Deep Learning techniques have applications beyond image recognition and are being applied in scientific applications, such as with particle physics data from the LHC. Keras is a high-level library that makes constructing, training and testing Deep Learning networks easy. Due to the power and simplicity of Keras, it has become a popular library with both novices and experts. This lecture will provide a hands-on tutorial to the basic concepts, network construction and training with Keras.
