Description

Precision measurements have gained a lot of attention in recent years. LHC experiments have made a major step to extract interesting physics from small observables that constrain the Standard Model (SM); furthermore, these observables could be interpreted in the framework of physics beyond the SM. This talk will treat some precision measurements carried out with the LHC's ATLAS detector and will explain the physics motivation behind these efforts. A discussion will be given of how the techniques of ATLAS could be extrapolated to measurements within the Belle-II detector.
