Description

Excitation functions for the production of 95Zr, 95mNb and 95gNb in the natZr(p,x) reactions were measured in the proton energy range of 10.58 to 43.61 MeV using the stacked-foil activation method. The incident proton fluxes were determined based on the natCu(p,x)62Zn and natCu(p,x)65Zn monitor reactions. Consequently, the independent cross sections for the formation of 95mNb and 95gNb can be obtained. In addition to cross section measurements, the thick target yields of 95Zr, 95mNb and 95gNb isotopes, as well as the energy dependent cross-section ratios of the 95m,gNb isomeric pair were also determined.  The results obtained are compared with previously reported data and theoretical predictions using the computer code TALYS-1.9.
