Description

For the search of new isotopes near the neutron drip-line in the experiment, the accuracy of the prediction of the production cross section is very important. There- fore, we predicted the possibilities of production of neutron-rich isotopes of Ca, Zn, Te, Xe, Gd, Dy, Er, Yb, Hf, W, Os, Pt, Hg, Pb, and Th at bombarding energies around the Coulomb barriers. The mentioned isotopes are far from the valley of stability line and have the neutron numbers greater than N = 28, 50, 82, and 126. These neutron numbers are closely related with the modification of shell structure. Therefore, the produced nuclei are anticipated to give beneficial information on the shell evolution at and beyond the neutron drip-line.
To synthesize neutron-rich nuclei, multi-nucleon transfer reactions with sta- ble and rare isotopes beams were used. Multi-nucleon transfer reaction is a good method for producing neutron-rich nuclei positioned around neutron drip-line.
Since the possibilities for producing neutron-rich isotopes close to the neutron drip-line are very small, the optimal choice of projectile-target combinations and bombarding energies for their production are suggested for future experiments.
